Ferdinand J. Venditti, Jr., M.D., is the Executive Vice President for System Care Delivery and Hospital General Director at Albany Medical Center and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs of Albany Medical College.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Brooklyn Medical School, Dr. Venditti completed his medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his cardiology training at Boston University Medical Center. He subsequently trained in cardiac electrophysiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Venditti is currently board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Venditti had been a member of the faculty of Boston University School of Medicine while on staff at Boston City Hospital. He was later a faculty member of Harvard Medical School while on staff at Lahey Clinic in Burlington Mass. Dr. Venditti was Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Lahey Clinic before moving to Albany Medical College where he became the Richard T. Beebe Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Venditti was appointed Vice Chair of the Operating Committee of the Faculty Practice Plan in 2003 and Chair of that committee in 2005.
After serving more than 10 years as Chair of Medicine, Dr. Venditti was appointed Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at Albany Medical College in in 2008. In that role, he was responsible for the management of all aspects of the Albany Med Faculty Physician group, which has more than 500 full-time physicians practicing in more than 35 sites throughout the Capital Region. He was recently recognized for his service to the institution and was promoted to Executive Vice President for System Care Delivery and Hospital General Director to Albany Medical Center in January 2016.
Dr. Venditti has served as a consultant for many industry and governmental agencies including InterQual, St. Jude Medical Systems, Hewlett Packard, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Cardiac Transplant Committee, the Health Effects Institute of Cambridge and, most recently, as a member of the New York State Department of Health Cardiac Advisory Committee and is Chair of the Data Use, Research and Publication Policy Subcommittee. He is the author of numerous publications in medical literature.

Jay P. Cahalan is President/CEO of Columbia Memorial Health (CMH). He joined CMH in 1994 as its Chief Operating Officer, and served as Executive Vice President before being named President/CEO in 2012. Mr. Cahalan has been instrumental in transforming CMH from an inpatient focused community hospital to an integrated healthcare delivery system with over forty distinct medical service outlets and physician practices. In 2016, Mr. Cahalan led the organization to a unique and groundbreaking Affiliation with Albany Med, the first of its kind in Northeast NY. Prior to joining CMH, Mr. Cahalan was a clinical instructor for a three hospital Radiologic Technology Program in Connecticut, later serving as a Director of Radiology, and as Vice President of Diagnostic Services for Windham Hospital in Willimantic, Ct. Mr. Cahalan holds Masters’ degrees from the University of Connecticut, and Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. He completed his undergraduate degree at Southern Connecticut State University where he played college football under former NY Giants Offensive Coordinator and fellow SCSU alumnus Kevin Gilbride.
