I came as close to dying as humanly possible on March 25, 2015. In honor of being amongst the living, I would like to ask all my friends and clients to support me and give generously to the Go Red For Women movement.
My near death from a type A dissecting aortic aneurysm, is not an isolated event. 2 of my dear friends, Hope and Lori, also had near death cardiovascular events. This is an all too common sisterhood that women all over our community enter into unwillingly.
Together, through education and awareness, we can change the number of women who unknowingly get way too close to death before they learn of their cardiovascular health.
Don't be a "JOY" and wait until it is almost too late to be saved!!!!
DO get you heart checked when you get you first mammogram (sooner if you have a family history) and every year after.
DO know your numbers: Blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI.
DO share your cardiovascular knowledge with every woman you know!!
Thank you for your generosity
Love your pets with your healthy HEART!!
