Go Red for Women is crucial in driving local support to fund life-saving research and to educate women. Though we have made great strides in the advancement of women's cardiovascular health, we still have far to go. We need your help now so that our mothers, sisters and daughters have a chance to fight this silent killer. By sharing a commitment to speak up, spread the word and support the research, you can help save lives.
I am overjoyed to be participating in the 2022 Capital Region Men Go Red for Women campaign for the American Heart Association. As a new father to our precious daughter Liliana Winifred, I am committed to keeping her and all the women in my family as healthy as can be. Heart disease in women runs in my family on both sides, and I’ve learned that many of the influential women who shaped the Fruscios over the years suffered from heart disease and even heart related deaths. My grandmother Winifred Fruscio who my daughter is named after, suffered from a heart attack and had several heart related issues. By raising awareness and funds for the American Heart Association during the month of February, I am hopeful to help fight the good fight towards protecting the amazing women in our lives. I know my wife and daughter will be by my side throughout the campaign and grandmother looking down from above. They will all be so proud as we raise awareness for heart-related disease over the next 6 weeks.
